Symbios Logic SDMS 4.0 PCI UnixWare 2.0 C8XX-4.06.00 HBA Diskette Building Instructions: To create a C8XX HBA disk to use with UnixWare 2.1 and UnixWare 7, you must copy the raw dd image file onto a 1.44 MB floppy. The process for doing this will depend on what operating system you are using to create the disk. ------------------------------------------------ For UNIX System Users 1. Insert a 3.5" diskette into the floppy drive. 2. At the UNIX prompt type: dd if=//UW40600.DD of=/dev/rfd0 The is where the dd image is located. On this CD, the dd image file is located here: {UNIX CDROM path}/DRIVERS/UNIX/SCOUWARE This command will dd the image to the floppy to create a HBA diskette. ------------------------------------------------ For DOS System Users Use a utility that will copy the raw .DD image onto a 1.44 MB floppy. This .DD image is located at: {DOS CDROM path}:\DRIVERS\UNIX\SCOUWARE\UW40600.DD "Rawrite", which is a public domain utility, is available on this CD. Instructions for using this utility are included in its accompanying "RAWRITE3.DOC" file. Rawrite is included on this CD-ROM at this location: {DOS CDROM path}:\DRIVERS\UNIX After the image has been copied to a 3.5" diskette, use this HBA diskette for SCO UnixWare installations as instructed.
