Note that this problem is not limited to the noted chipset; The Cyrix 5510, and many other clock IC's are also susceptible. While performing internal timing calibration, NDIS.VXD may attempt to divide a zero value under the above noted conditions, resulting in the error. This problem is caused by a vulnerability to errors under high clock speed conditions that exist in both the timer latch hardware as well as the NDIS.VXD component. Copy the file NDISUPD.EXE into an empty folder, and run NDISUPD.EXE to install the update. 2.
