To install the NT driver: o extract the driver on a diskette o select o select o select o select o select and use the diskette you just made o reboot the system o upon reboot, confirm that our driver not atapi si running under the SCSI Adapters path above. The above will correctly install our UDMA driver. However you will continue to get error msgs in the event log due to the old MS atapi driver continuing to try and run. It won't hurt anything, but it looks bad and the warning msgs on boot are annoying. So do the following AFTER our driver is installed correctly to eliminate these msgs: o Go into Control Panel o Go into Devices o Select Atapi o Pick Startup o Select Disabled startup type o OK your way out o (it's ok that you disable this AS LONG AS you are now booting our driver. Don't do this if you are not...) o reboot.
